CO:Z Server authentication mechanisms

Post by tomscotman » Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:43 am

I looked through the manual for mechanisms that remote clients can used to authenticate to the Z/OS COZ:Server. I know passwords work but can / how do I use SSH instead of passwords?

This is for say a Winscp client to connect to Z/Os as a server.

Co:Z SFTP server uses IBM z/OS OpenSSH as the secure transport layer.
So, z/OS OpenSSH does the authentication and you can use any authentication mechanisms that it supports.
See the IBM z/OS OpenSSH User's Guide for more information
